Welcome to my wonderful world!
Nothing much happens here. Sometimes I update, sometimes I don't! The only way to find out is to come and visit.
This journal started in July 2004, as a way for me to clear my head. I had recently finished 2 years of treatment for bowel cancer, and was slowly getting my life back on track. I've now come to the conclusion that I will always be trying to get my life back on track, and that I'll just have to live with it! But life is good, life is fun and life continues. I hope you will find that reflected in this journal.
Read, enjoy, comment, leave me a tag and thoroughly enjoy yourself!
shame you've had less posts lately. I don't get too many either!!
I don't know... I should be pleased that I have an interview lined up for Thursday, but I just can't get my head round it. The trouble is, I've been told to do something that I'll 'shine' at. I'd rather be given a set task to work on, but no, they have to be ambiguous and I just don't know what to do! Ideally, I'd like to do a literacy lesson, but that's a bit run-of-the-mill. Instead, I'm sort of thinking about music. Or science... or P.E. Oh I don't know... and I'm not sure I can be hassled! I have to start this tonight or I won't be ready!
Also, it seems to be the business to bring portfolios of your work along, but I don't have one, and I don't intend to make one in the next day or so... I'll just have to shine as me!
Weight-loss update. I've now lost a total of 3lb. Not that impressive, but there is at least 5cm gone from my waist, so I'm not going to be downhearted. We go on holiday in 2 weeks (today!) and so long as I can fit comfortably into my summer clothes, then I'm fine.
My targets from Mr Fitbug (or perhaps it's a Mrs, I don't know!) is 4500 aerobic steps, and 4500 normal steps. Aerobic steps consist of steps that are done when walking for at least 10 minutes without stopping. Sometimes I do some of these on my trampoline thingy, and sometimes I go for walks. The development round Herb Lane is still developing, and I love walking round and seeing what houses are being built next. My favourite walk is down to the Marina to see the boats and look across the Severn to Wales. We used to live pracitcally on the Marina edge, but moved when we bought our pad in Herb Lane.
This is one of my favourite views on my way round. There are more, and next time I go walkabouts on a clear day, I'll take a couple more photos across the water.

I have to say, this looks nothing like where we live! We could never afford to live along here... but when we rented, we were just round the corner from here...
Right, I'm off to look for lesson ideas on the internet!
