Welcome to my wonderful world!
Nothing much happens here. Sometimes I update, sometimes I don't! The only way to find out is to come and visit.
This journal started in July 2004, as a way for me to clear my head. I had recently finished 2 years of treatment for bowel cancer, and was slowly getting my life back on track. I've now come to the conclusion that I will always be trying to get my life back on track, and that I'll just have to live with it! But life is good, life is fun and life continues. I hope you will find that reflected in this journal.
Read, enjoy, comment, leave me a tag and thoroughly enjoy yourself!
shame you've had less posts lately. I don't get too many either!!
School ends on Wednesday for the summer break. I don't have any work booked for this week yet, but I do have an interview for my ideal job on Monday. It's a 4 day a week teaching post, about 10 minutes from my home in Herb Lane.
I'm going to make a house out of chocolate as part of my lesson plan - now I just need to write the plan!
Life here is fine. Herb Lane has not been affected by the floods, it hasn't stopped us from getting to work, and I think that we miss all the worst of it here. Beisdes, we live on the first floor! However, I do feel for all those whose houses have been flooded and have lost so much in the past few weeks.
Dave and I have spent the morning doing a half blitz. That means we've cleaned half the house - the bits that friends see. Dave has spent hours on the bathroom. The biggest job being the shower screen which gets so lime-scaled up - thank goodness for Cilit Bang! That stuff is great! I hate doing the shower screen, which is why Dave did bathroom and I did the open plan room - kitchen/diner/living area. I love it when the house is tidy, but it never stays like that for long.
There's not much news really. So bye!
