Welcome to my wonderful world!
Nothing much happens here. Sometimes I update, sometimes I don't! The only way to find out is to come and visit.
This journal started in July 2004, as a way for me to clear my head. I had recently finished 2 years of treatment for bowel cancer, and was slowly getting my life back on track. I've now come to the conclusion that I will always be trying to get my life back on track, and that I'll just have to live with it! But life is good, life is fun and life continues. I hope you will find that reflected in this journal.
Read, enjoy, comment, leave me a tag and thoroughly enjoy yourself!
shame you've had less posts lately. I don't get too many either!!
Well, I'm cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. My plan is to blitz everything at this end of the summer holidays, and then keep on top of it. (famous last words!) Actually, I'm hosting a meeting tonight, so want everything to be perfect. OH, and more pressing is the arrival of my parents on Thursday. Until yesterday, you have to pole vault to get from one end of the spare room to the other. Now by Thursday, the parents need to be able to get into the bed. (which until earlier was covered with junk.) I've even stuck the pillows in the washing machine to make them nice and fresh. (Though knowing my parents, they'll probably bring their own anyways!)
The worst job is sorting out the junk by the computer table. Honestly... we just chuck all our bills and stuff there to sort out later. We do have a folder which is affectionately known as "The Lazy Arse Filing System" but we don't often bother to put stuff in it. (ooh! post has just arrived!) It's taken over an hour to sort just the desk out! And I know there's more stuff to do. If only we weren't such slobs!
Life here in Herb Lane hasn't been particularly exciting. We went to Devon at the weekend, but did nothing special. Our chillis are now going red, and our tomatoes are just about ready to eat.
I'd love to tell you exciting stuff - but there isn't any! Oh well, maybe one day there'll be proper news - you'll just have to keep coming back to check!
